Strategies adopted to achieve ODF status

Specialized Training

Training was a continuous process to lend technical and educational knowledge along with behavioral intervention. It had three main modules.

• Special training by “Jai Swachhta Samiti” was imparted to all those involved at various levels.

• The expertise of trainers put broke the inertia and rolled the ball.

• Training the trainers was to increase their competency levels so that they could conduct the whole program later.

• It involved creating awareness of the insanitation associated diseases, construction related specifications, cost related misconceptions and other related specific issues.

• Special component of training was to purely motivate trainers and volunteers associated with TSC with the objective to maintain high level of energy.
