Strategies adopted to achieve ODF status 

Building support for carrying out the programme  

The participatory nature of scheme required active involvement of villagers and for this following techniques were used:

Sammelans were organized in villages.

AwarenessCampaigns were launched at different levels.

Regular interactive meetings were called at various levels.

The Slogans were given like “Jai Swachhta” and all the people

would greet each other with this slogan.

Motivational songs like Hum Log Hain Aise Deewane...

were given.

People at all these levels were motivated to understand the

importance of cleanliness and were inspired regularly.
